Luis Medina scored twice in the first half to help send the Woodland boys soccer team to a comfortable 3-0 win over Bartow County rival Adairsville on Wednesday.

Medina’s two goals were enough to see the visiting Wildcats enter halftime with a 2-0 lead. Raul Gonzalez struck in the second half to set the final margin.

The score would have been a lot worse, but Adairsville goalkeeper Tyrek Bryant recorded 29 saves, according to Tigers head coach Jayme Laney. The Tigers had several quality chances but couldn’t score. Angel Banda led Adairsville with four shots on target.

Adairsville (2-8) returns to action today with a road game at Riverside Military Academy at 6 p.m. Woodland (6-4-2) doesn’t play again until April 9, when the Wildcats head to Paulding County.
